Currently an associate attorney at The Matta Law Firm, Sara Guerra Blalock was born in California but moved to Manassas, Virginia after her first birthday. She moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2003, and continues to live there with her husband.
Sara’s parents immigrated from El Salvador, and it was during their process that she developed her interest in immigration law. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Campbell University in 2013, she obtained a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Throughout law school, Sara dedicated her time to interning at immigration law firms. As a member of the NCCU Hispanic Law Student Association, she volunteered at various pro-bono immigration clinics. Over the years, her interest turned into a passion to help the underserved Hispanic community and be an advocate for them.
